Joanna Wiebe: The Copywriter Who Swipes & Tests Everything
I grew up in a family of seven kids, with at least one ‘stray’ living with us at all times. My dad was a truck driver who, in his mid-30s, with 7 mouths to feed, went back to school to become a French teacher. I was in junior high when he became a student again, and that must have been an impressionable age – ‘cos now I’ve got this crazy idea that you can start doing exactly what you want right now. After all, if my dad did it, what the hell is my excuse for not doing it?
My memory is shot; I de-stress by writing fiction; I had $0 growing up and, in turn, now assume everything is out of my price range; I live in Victoria, BC with my partner Lance; I have no children but would very much like a cat; I adore Latin, grammar and general word-geekiness; I have an MA in communications; and I need to get past the idea that life is a race.
