Copy Hackers Careers

EDITOR, COPYWRITING AND GROWTH MARKETING

So, we’re looking for two part-time editors. The position you’re looking at now is for an editor in charge of making two of our blog categories – Copywriting and Growth Marketing – beyond stellar.

Here’s what that’ll look like, by and large:

  • Publish a total of five (5) posts per month:
    • You’ll write one (1) wildly wonderful post a month per category – so 2 posts total
    • You’ll source / acquire one (1) additional wildly wonderful post a month, from a guest poster
    • You’ll source / acquire two (2) short but fab posts a month, from guest posters
  • Write / Source a new Airstory template for each post
  • Keep promotion top-of-mind as you’re writing and editing
  • Promote on publication
  • Incorporate rounds of editorial feedback from the senior editor (Joanna Wiebe)
  • Follow and add to the editorial calendar

You’ve gotta be wicked deadline- and detail-oriented. You need to dig writing and teaching (because killer blog posts are, effectively, teaching). You’ve gotta seriously dig CRO, SEO and conversion copywriting. You need to get a strong handle on the Copy Hackers voice… while still bringing your own voice to the game. And you need to work well in our small team of you, the other editor and Joanna.

This is a remote work position, on contract.

Preference given to candidates based in Canada ‘cos, well, that’s where we are. Biggest preference given to ballers, hustlers, badasses, divas, weirdos, geeks and anyone who thinks the status quo can be tackled with brainpower and deliberate action.

Apply by sending an email to joanna@copyhackers.com with EDITOR – CRO & COPYWRITING in the subject line. In your application, include your quote for this ongoing contract work.

EDITOR, FREELANCING AND GENERAL WRITING

So, we’re looking for two part-time editors. The position you’re looking at now is for an editor in charge of making two of our blog categories – Freelancing and General Writing – beyond stellar.

Here’s what that’ll look like, by and large:

You’ve gotta be wicked deadline- and detail-oriented. You need to dig writing and teaching (because killer blog posts are, effectively, teaching). You should have a background in freelancing, contracting or consulting – and you definitely love all kinds of writing. You need to get a strong handle on the Copy Hackers voice… while still bringing your own voice to the game. And you need to work well in our small team of you, the other editor and Joanna.

Because no “General Writing” category exists on CopyHackers.com today, you’ll be in charge of starting it from scratch. This category will cover topics like grammar, writing blog posts, writing articles, outlining novels, etymology and other word-geek kinda stuff. It’s kinda the B2C side of our blog.

Apply by sending an email to joanna@copyhackers.com with EDITOR – FREELANCING and GENERAL WRITING in the subject line. In your application, include your quote for this ongoing contract work.
