The Copy Coach

Amy Posner is an amazing copywriter. But she’s not just a copywriter. Over the last 30 years, Amy has built six successful businesses and two agencies. All that’s to say, she is a phenomenal business owner.

By pairing her copy chops with her business knowledge and practical coaching style, Amy has created financial freedom by helping freelancers create a financially viable business they love. Her current coaching clients are freelancers who earn between $60,000 and $400,000 per year. She’s helped many of them double their income.

In addition to 1:1 coaching, Amy coaches freelancers inside her Magnetic North Mastermind. The program is designed to help freelancers figure out what’s uniquely theirs to do. That’s the concept behind Amy’s coaching brand.

Amy's six-figure advice for you: Get more specific

“There has to be something you do that delivers unique value that you’re really clear about. Otherwise, you’re going to end up making more money by working more hours. And that’s not sustainable.”

If you’ve plateaued at $60-80K and are looking to level up to $100K, Amy advises you to get more specific. You don’t have to niche, but you must figure out how to differentiate yourself. You have to specialize.

And when you do, make sure you’re specializing in an area where there is demand for your services. There’s no use mastering a specific skill if it’s not in demand.
