Ry's six-figure advice for you: “Don’t do what I did”
“I would not do it the same. I could have gotten to six figures a lot more peacefully and enjoyably instead of that chaotic sprint. I would encourage intentionality. It’s okay to say no to projects and people. You’re okay financially. You’re not starving right now.”
Ry’s story is a great example of how far doing great work and forming relationships with other entrepreneurs can get you.
However, it’s also a reminder that if you don’t take the time to build your brand and systems properly, you’re likely to burn out and miss out on opportunities.
If getting $60-80K/year in your business has felt like an uphill struggle, you might still feel like you have to say yes to projects if they lead to bigger opportunities. If that’s the case, Ry’s advice is to stop saying yes to every project out of fear. Instead, use that time to build structure into your business. That’s the stuff that will pay off for you in the long run.
